"FOOL PROOF" System to finding the best pool builder?

"FOOL PROOF" System to finding the best pool builder?

Pool buyers always want to know one question when reviewing, pricing and talking to pool builders.
Who's the right builder, who's the best choice?

The answer is actually both builder and buyer pairing will produce the best building combination.

The best chance for success is when buyers and builders have balanced finish lines and  expectation.
Matching your needs with your builders goals and passions will narrow things down and bring you a winning combination.

So, lets start the process of teaching you how to find the best builder for you.

First, some honest but required advice.
Keep emotion out of it and be willing to learn that it's okay to be miss-informed.
Sometime as shoppers our insecurities make us difficult to please and unrealistic.
You don't want to start any major endeavor like this.
This process should be exiting.

Okay, I'll provide my list of builder types, then I'll provide my list of customer types.

We pair the two types and we have a strong likelihood of everyone being happy when the job is done.

You have 3 types of pool builders today

Volume pool builders - Nation wide companies or builders who build 300+ pools per year.

Combination builders - local builders who build over 200 pools per year.

Custom pool builders - Yeah, we know, today everyone's a custom builder!
Not really!
they're all simply pool builders and some can take on custom pools.
If a pool builder has pool packages, thats your first indicator they build for volume.

Custom Pool builders - have lower build numbers due to the required time spent on each job. solid builders.

You have 3 types of pool buyers today

Eager buyer - as long as its cheap and built fast they're good.

Shrewd Buyer - Wants a well built product that looks and finishes nicer than average. More flexible financially as well as with design and build times.

Luxury Buyers - Want a great pool! Want it unique! Want it built to last with strong technology. Pricing comes last.

There is one other builder type.
This is the builder type I chose as the best pool builder.
I chose the Premium builder.

The Premium pool builder will be in a league all their own.

These builders are the real deal, the "Top Guns" of pool building.

THIS IS HOW YOU"LL SPOT THEM

1 - They will be be strong communicators and confident.
( can seem cocky but they're known to be very customer minded and extremely honest).
Trust us! This is what you want in your builder.

2 - You'll notice Premium builders aren't usually the cheapest.
They can sometimes be inline with the other builders on pricing, but they're normally more expensive.

3 - Their designs and vision will set them apart.
Make no mistake, these guys/ gals are straight up artists.
They walked into your first meeting already viewing your pool as an art piece.
They just have a gift for it.

4 -  Premium builders maintain a very high customer satisfaction rating, normally in the high 90% range.

Thats my system for finding a great pool builder.
It worked for me when I decided to build.
I chose a premium builder and it was one of the best decisions i've ever made.

My hands down choice for best builder in San Antonio would have to be
Water Rock Custom Pools by Jeff Herman.
This guy is incredible.
He's the most knowledgable builder I've met in 20 years and he is as creative as they come.
I know he's fantastic because I built our pool with him.
So, I can accurately rate him.
Since our build, I've looked at many other pools and ours is not even in the same
ball park.
over the last few years we actually ran into a few really cool pools in San Antonio, and we wondered
 "wow, who built this."
We later found out both were built by Jeff, not surprising.
I still talk to the owner to this day.

My second choice would would be Brad Sharpe Pools. They didn't connect with me like Jeff did, and I felt Jeff gave more "bang for my buck"
but,
I know Brads reputation and he's just a really great builder.
So thats how to find your builder.
Good luck and I hope it helped.
